Now that Spring is upon us (finally!) it’s time to switch up our makeup routines and incorporate some brighter tones. GOSH have just launched a whole new array of products for 2017 and I certainly felt spoilt for choice when this lovely package arrived on my doorstep.
So I must admit I haven’t used GOSH cosmetics in a long time, mainly because I’m a creature of habit and tend to stick to what I know makeup wise. When GOSH surprised me with a hamper full of goodies it gave me the perfect excuse to explore the range again and to put their latest additions to the test.
Liquid Matte Lips – £8.99
As soon as I saw the words ‘Liquid Matte’ I was intrigued, liquid lipsticks are my weakness I have way too many but I love them all! I love the matte effect they give and I personally think they last so much longer than normal matte lipsticks. There are eight colours in the GOSH range of all which are vibrant and perfect for the Spring season. My personal favourite has to be Nougat Crisp as it’s the perfect nude colour with a hint of pink. I’ve always liked pink tones in lipsticks but could never find one to suit me, so by having a pinky nude instead I have finally found the perfect match. These are a great price and do last a long time, I didn’t have to re-do it after food which is also a bonus!
CCC Contour, Cover & Conceal – £9.99
These new additions to the range are designed to create the perfect flawless complexion. I tried out the light colour as a concealer and while it did work I didn’t feel it was a heavy enough coverage for my blemishes. I had to apply it a few times, I did feel it was the perfect highlighter though if you don’t want shimmer. As I like to add shimmer to my contour I added Highlight Vanilla on top. The darker contour worked really well and gave my cheek bones the definition they deserve.
Velvet Touch Lipstick Matt (Angel) – £7.99
Now as I’ve converted to liquid lipsticks recently it’s really rare that you will see me with a lipstick. I have nothing against them, they just seem to have taken a back seat at the moment. So trying out a matte lipstick for the first time in months did excite me. As I explained earlier on I’ve been looking for a pink lipstick for a while, so when I found this one (Angel) I couldn’t wait to try it, sadly once again it was a little too pink for my skintone. Colour aside it felt great on and did have a great matte finish.
Eye Xpression (Back To Nature) – £8.99
Eyeshadow palettes have to be my favourite as they always look so decorative nowadays, you never want to touch them! This GOSH one was no exception it pained me to ruin the perfect design of this palette. They look so smooth and these matte nude tones are right up my street as I’m really not that adventurous when it comes to eyeshadows. This palette is perfect for smokey eyes, the shimmery tone is ideal for adding some glamour to your evening look. The pigment is flawless and really does look great when applied, I can’t believe the palette only costs £8.99!
