The L’Oreal Professionnel range has quickly become one of my favourite haircare brands to use in the last year. Although aimed at a more professionnel audience, I absolutely love the products and think it’s worth spending a little extra on great quality products that leave your hair feeling luscious and healthy. So I decided it was time to try the new Serie expert range and see how these compared to their existing products.
The Serie expert range smells exactly like my L’Occitane hand cream (sorry I can’t be more specific on the fragrance but it smells very expensive). The packaging itself looks professional and up market which I love as I always feel it provides confidence in the products. The Serie expert range is actually aimed at balayage and dip dye hair which is perfect as it is always so hard to find products that suit both colours of my hair. As I keep going higher at the moment with my blonde every time I visit my lovely hairdresser, it’s important that I’m treating my hair correctly to accommodate the bleach and colouring.
Nutrifier Blow Dry Cream £13.99
So I’m still fairly new to blow dry cream, and I will admit I didn’t really see what all the fuss was about. I’ve learnt that by using a blow dry cream, even just a little it helps to prevent heat damage and protect your hair when styling. Since using this blow dry cream I have noticed my hair doesn’t look as dry after curling my hair in the morning. I normally wouldn’t buy a cream like this but I’m so glad that I’ve been introduced to this L’Oreal blow dry cream, as I like to think it’s helping maintain my hair’s natural health during styling.
These are my favourite products out of the L’Oreal Professionnel range. I always treat my hair to a weekly masque and since doing this also, my hair’s health and condition has improved drastically. I really would recommend trying these as I’ve used the masque’s for over a year and a half now and still notice amazing changes each time I use it. I leave it on for about five minutes during my shower routine, and walk out with beautifully conditioned ends which don’t look dull or dry. This is truly the first masque I’ve come across which leaves me with visibly noticeable results from one use.
So a DD balm is a ‘Dryness-Defense’ treatment expertly formulated to help moisturise dehydrated locks and nourish dry, frazzled ends. This leave-in conditioning balm is fortified with a professional concentration of Glycerol, which works to restore optimum hydration levels, whilst Coconut Oil replenishes essential fatty acids to plump and soften individual follicles and seal the appearance of split ends. Non-greasy and lightweight, the intensive balm leaves the tips of your hair feeling softer and healthier-looking with enhanced shine. Now again this is something I wouldn’t usually buy, but using this once or twice a week after washing my hair, makes my hair feel so much more glamorous and shiny. I also believe this has contributed to my split ends being non-existent anymore and my hair having an all over more healthier shine.
Nutrifier Shampoo & Conditioner £10.99
Finally for my favourite part the Shampoo & Conditioner wich are a gentle cleanser that provides a concentrated dose of nutritional benefits to dry, dull and lacklustre locks. These work wonders on my balayage hair because where my ends are dry due to the bleach it’s important for me to use the right products to maintain my hair’s natural health and to protect me against heat damage. I love the way my hair feels after using the shampoo & conditioner and my hair just smells amazing! I am once again impressed with how healthy and shiny my hairs looks for such little money. It is certainly more expensive than you would expect to pay for the normal L’Oreal range, but the Professionnel range offers so many more high-quality products that really leave you feeling gorgeous.
Since transforming my hair with the L’Oreal Professionnel Steampod stylers, I wouldn’t use anything else. As my hair is shorter now I sadly can’t curl with them, but when I straighten my hair or want a quick and easy look the steam pod’s are perfect. They cut your styling time in half, it literally takes me less than two minutes to style my hair in the morning which is perfect for when I’m strapped for time. The condition my hair has been left in since using these for a year now, is such a transformation. My hair used to get so many split ends from heat damage, I never get split ends anymore and my hair looks sleek and silky when using the steam pods. The steampod has a water tank which is used to supply the steam, this helps maintain your hair’s natural condition and prevents heat damage by using steam and not heated plates. They have helped maintain my hair’s health and made it look more hydrated and healthy which was my ultimate hair goal.
