With Summer upon us, it was only a matter of time before the YouTube Queen that is Zoella launched a new and exciting range to her Zoella Beauty line. I must admit I have been a big fan of Zoella’s beauty and home range over the last few years, so I was really excited when the new Jelly & Gelato range was announced at Superdrug. With infused extracts of Elderflower & Pomegranate throughout the range, I knew this was going to be an exciting fragrance to try. So let’s have a look at the new summer range…
Zoella Gelat’Eau Body Mist £8
What I love about the new packaging is how the white, pastel colours and gold work so well together to create such minimalist, but effective branding. The size of this body mist is perfect as you can always pop it in your handbag for a top up throughout the day. Now being twenty-three myself I didn’t feel that this range would be suited to me, as Jelly & Gelato sounds like something that her younger fans would enjoy. Yet again though, I’ve been proven wrong as I actually really love this fragrance. It’s not too sweet or sickly like you would expect it to be, it’s really subtle and fruity if anything.
Zoella Gelato Shower Sauce £5
This has been one of my favourite products that I’ve tried in this range, I love a great smelling shower gel and this is certainly my new favourite! You get a decent size bottle for your £5, and a little really does go a long way. You only need a little to create enough foam on your sponge. This body wash leaves you smelling like a dream and ready for a day in the sun (if it ever appears).
Zoella Gelato Bath Wafers £5
I will say I haven’t been a fan of Zoella’s bath fizzers the last few times, simply because I prefer bath bombs and just felt this didn’t really do much for £5. This time round with the wafer, I did absolutely love the smell of the bath, but I just wanted it to do a bit more than just fizz. Maybe I just have high expectations after being a LUSH addict for so long. If you like a more subtle bath fizzer this is for you, but at £5 a go it’s going to make your bath’s an expensive habit.
Zoella Gelato Bath Milk Powder £7
So in this pretty little tin, you get four sachets of bath frosting. I like that they’re in separate sachets as it keeps it nice and clean and also means you can take one away with you if you wanted to. Surprisingly I actually really enjoyed having this in the bath, although it wasn’t an all singing all dancing bath bomb, it literally did nothing when I ran it under the tap. I did, however, enjoy this so much more than the wafers, and it left my skin feeling super soft and smelling divine.
Zoella Gelato Cream Body Scrub £8
This is a body scrub like no other, in a solid form this thick yet moisturising scrub will help to brighten, smooth and tone skin. I loved applying this in the shower, it made my skin feel smooth and moisturised which is really important to me. I loved how I smelt after using this scrub and the shower sauce also. It left my skin feeling hydrated, smooth and it definitely brightened my skin also.
Zoella Gelato Shower Shake £6
Now if the packaging hasn’t already drawn you in, you will love this shower treat. So the shower sauce is a great body wash, but this shower shake is a moisturising body wash. It comes out like a cream and lathers up a treat under water. I think if I had to choose between the shower sauce and the shower shake, I would choose the shower shake. Simply because of the packaging, and the fact that I prefer a moisturising cream due to having sensitive skin.
Zoella Gelato Body Pudding £8
Finally, on to another one of my favourite products in the new Zoella Beauty Jelly & Gelato range. Body Pudding is a moisturising body cream enriched with Elderflower & Pomegranate beads that soak into the skin when applying. I applied this after using the shower shake and body scrub, so as you can imagine I smelt amazing! I love this body cream as it soaks in easily, and leaves your skin summer ready.
