Last month I spent the weekend up in London with my gorgeous blogging bestie Amanda. As I was speaking at the Get Lit Retreat once again and inspiring lots of you lovely ladies, we decided to turn it into a weekend celebration. It was also a great opportunity to catch up and let our hair down.
On the Friday, I travelled up by train and met Amanda in the beautiful cafe Peggy Porschen located in Kensington. This cafe is certainly picturesque – the cakes are just as Instagrammable and most importantly delicious! We decided to make use of the free day we had and took lots of blogging photos which really does help for content.
After a great afternoon of taking photos and drinking tea, we headed to our hotel for the evening. The lovely team at InterContinental London by the O2 were kind enough to gift Amanda and I a stay which was very exciting. Although located a little further out than where I usually stay, the views over the O2 and Canary Wharf were breathtaking. Our room was spacious, light and had a great view over the Thames. Our first stop of the evening was, of course, the bar for a well-deserved cocktail! The hotel’s first-floor bar had great views over London once again, but the sky bar is certainly my favourite of the two, as you were higher up and could see much more of London at night.
After a drink, we decided to explore the hotel before we went for dinner. The spa at the hotel looked divine it’s just a shame we didn’t have enough time to try it out. They also have a pool which you are able to use during your stay which looked tranquil and the perfect place to put your feet up after a busy day in London.
It was now time for dinner which of course got me excited as I love food! The head chef greeted us at our table and answered any questions we had about the menu. He also created us a tailor-made starter which was delicious. I ended up going for the burger and Amanda had steak. Both our meals were cooked perfectly and literally melted in the mouth. It was the best burger I’ve ever tasted!
As we were spoilt with starter’s I didn’t end up having enough room for dessert and with my dairy intolerances, I couldn’t have anything off the dessert menu anyway. It was a gorgeous meal again with breathtaking views over Canary Wharf as the sunset in the distance. It certainly did make me fall in love with London’s beauty even more!
After a great night’s sleep in the comfortable king size bed, Amanda and I woke to breakfast in bed being delivered to our room. As we had to be at the Get Lit Retreat quite early, this made it easier for us and we were able to get ready at the same time. The breakfast was again delicious and to a high standard. Everything about our stay at the InterContinental O2 was luxurious and to a high level of service which made you feel relaxed and looked after.
Next, we headed to the Get Lit Retreat! A little different from last time as it felt more relaxed and I got to talk to two groups. I was able to share my knowledge on spiritually surrendering and finding your purpose in life. A lot of the lovely ladies had incredible manifestation stories to share which was great to hear and found my session gave them inspiration and the motivation to manifest their dream lives. It was a pleasure as always to speak at Aisha’s event with such beautiful souls.
It was such a great weekend in London mixed with positivity and relaxation. A big thank you to Aisha for asking me to speak at the Get Lit Retreat again to inspire your ladies. Also, a big thank you to the InterContinental O2 press team for kindly gifting us our night’s stay and meal. It was a divine experience and I will certainly be back soon when I next stay over in London. I hope you all have a fabulous week! Lots of Love xx
