With Autumn well and truly upon us, this is not only my favourite time of year for clothing and photography but for all the Autumn/Winter beauty releases. This week I wanted to bring you the products I’ve been loving from The Body Shop’s Autumn/Winter range. Including my all-time favourite haul item a candle…Spa Of The World – Japenese Camellia Candle
When I saw these candles sat on the shelf in my local store I wasn’t immediately drawn to them. If I’m honest the packaging really put me off. After looking around the entire shop I decided to go back and give the new Spa Of The World range a chance, and oh boy I’m glad I did! The Japenese Camellia Candle is my favourite scent out of them all, as this was the last one I’m sure other people will agree it is the perfect candle fragrance. While relaxing in the bath, this candle does remind me of being in a spa and certainly helped to relax me. At £16 it’s a little more than I would normally pay for a candle but I would buy this one time and time again!Instaglow CC Cream – Peachy Glow
I’ve never been one for CC Creams or even BB if I’m honest I don’t see what all the hype is about. I normally just stick to my primer which ticks all the boxes. So I was very reluctant to try this Instaglow cream, but it came highly recommended! There are three tones in the range and I went for Peachy Glow as I wanted a little extra colour in my cheeks now we are heading into the winter months. Peachy Glow is a great tinted CC Cream and gives me the results of a primer and a tinted CC Cream. I have started to use this every day now instead of my original primer, just to give me a subtle glow. It also has a slight shimmer to it, which I love as it gives me a little extra sparkle underneath my foundation!
Matte Lip Liquid – Windsor Rose
Now these had me excited! They haven’t even launched online yet but my local store we’re lucky enough to have them in. I swear by Matte Liquid Lipsticks now and wouldn’t use anything else. I have been using NYX for the last few months, so I was excited to see how The Body Shop would compare. At £6 the price is very competitive for the market, and the colours are great too. I went for the Windsor Rose colour as I am currently obsessed with nude colours. It was very easy to apply and dried almost instantly, throughout the day I would say it didn’t last as long as my NYX one I had to redo it after eating. All in all, it’s a great matte lipstick but I think I will stick to my NYX liquid lipstick as it just simply lasts longer.
Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Mask
This was the one item I was most excited about trying as I am loving charcoal masks at the moment. At £15 this is a more expensive than L’Oreal’s new masks, but with all natural ingredients and it being 100% vegetarian, I thought it was worth a try. It claims to unclog, refine pores and reveal your glow, I’ve used this mask twice now and it is a real dream to put on. Normally masks like this don’t smell too great, but you can really smell the botanical oils and bamboo in this and it’s not overpowering. My skin felt and looked really clear after using this. The next day my spots had reduced considerably and my skin looked more radiant than usual.
