Zeek – Discounted Gift Cards

We all know the feeling of getting an unwanted gift card for Birthday’s and special occasions. So Zeek has managed to solve this problem for us all, by creating an app that allows you to buy and sell discounted gift cards.

For years I’m sure we have always wondered what to do with unwanted gift cards. Whether it’s swapping with friends and family, or eventually being forced to buy something you don’t need from the shop you hate. Zeek has launched a fantastic app that allows you to buy and sell unwanted gift cards. I sold my £25 Marks & Spencer’s gift card for £21 and was paid £18 (after the £3) fee which really isn’t bad when you don’t want the gift card, that’s £18 cash I didn’t have before! The gift card sold that day which was really useful and the money transferred to my PayPal account. The next task was to bag myself a bargain gift voucher. When you download the app, you can select your favourite brands which I think is a great feature as this meant I could easily see what gift cards were available that day. Once purchased, the Boots gift card was sent to me 1st Class and arrived the next day which was very efficient and meant I didn’t have to wait long.

There is a variety of gift cards available both e-cards to spend online and psychical gift cards that will be sent to you. The discounts range from 2% – 10% off on average so if you are going to make an expensive purchase and don’t have a discount code this may be a great way to save! I ended up buying a £20 Boots Voucher for £16, a £20 New Look voucher for £17.50 and a £10 Waterstone’s voucher for £9 this was a combined saving of 15% which isn’t bad for a few minutes work. I’ve used Zeek’s method of buying and selling gift cards to not only make money but save money. I love shopping at New Look but they very rarely have discount codes so saving 15% all year round makes this a very savvy way of saving a few pounds on your everyday purchases.
