Depression, it’s a topic which always needs to be discussed and with 1 in 4 people now being diagnosed with anxiety and depression it’s about time someone did something about it. So today I bring you my BuddyBox Review to show you how I have been inspired.
Some of you will know if you follow my blog, 2 years ago I fell into a very heavy depression and left my job. This meant for 5 months everyday I was lying in bed wondering what my purpose in life was. Gradually I would get up, get dressed, clean my house e.t.c but that took all my energy. I didn’t care about anything and nothing made me happy, looking back I wish these boxes were about when I needed them the most.
The Blurt Foundation have created these incredible monthly subscription boxes called the Buddy Box, you can sign yourself up or you can send them to a loved one to brighten up their day. I love this idea and once again it’s enforcing the powerful message of there is always someone there for you. Not only do they provide these boxes, but they invite you to speak to them at www.blurtitout.org
“We’ll help you understand depression and what it means for you. We’ll support you, listen to you and introduce you to people who’ve been where you are. We’ll help you break down barriers and broach the subject with those closest to you. We’ll help you help yourself, with a little knowing nod.”
I have massive respect for a company who offer this and actively help you along the way. I think this is such a fantastic cause and when they asked me to be an ambassador I was honoured to support such a worthwhile project.
Inside The Box
May The Thoughts Be With You by Charlotte Reed (RRP £9.99)
Cafe Direct Fairtrade Rich Hot Chocolate 250g (RRP £2.79)
Tisserand Aromatherapy Energy Roller Ball (RRP £4.95)
Cats Colouring Sheets by Stacie Swift (RRP £2.50)
BEEcycle Pack Of Five Message Beanstalk Seeds (RRP £3)
RRP Total: £23.23
The box costs £21.50 monthly and you can get extra discounts by doing longer subscription packages. You can also get 10% OFF by using code: ACTOFKINDNESS. I’m not going to sit and write what amazing value for money the box is as I feel it’s a completely different message to how I would review a beauty box. What I would rather say is it’s the thought that counts and it is nicknamed ‘a hug in a box’. You can view previous month’s boxes on their website also.
This website and Buddy Box has been a long time coming and I’m so glad that people can benefit from these great pick me up boxes, you can purchase a Buddy Box here. Let me know in the comments below what you think of the boxes and if you have tried them yet?
