My Origins Skincare Routine

I have been using Origins for over 6 months now, thanks to Savvy Annie’s recommendations I have finally found a brand that not only does what it says on the packet but continuously shows incredible results. 

So today I’m going to be talking about how I fit my favourite Origins products into my daily skincare routine and what differences I have noticed over time. As always I love to hear your thoughts so please comment below with any products you can recommend or your experiences with Origins.

Clear Improvements (Face Mask) £23

This wins my all time life saving product award, I can’t even begin to tell you how much this face mask alone has transformed my skin. I use Clear Improvements once a week, I’ve been using this for over 6 months now and my spots are much calmer. They disappear the next day which is of course a miracle treatment and leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and clear. I have used one and a half tubes in the 6 months but I do layer it on so with a more economical use you could probably only use one tube over a six month period. It has active charcoal in to draw out deep dwelling pore-cloggers. Get your self a sample from your local counter and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Gin Zing (Face Mask) £23

I use Gin Zing in the morning once a week to give my skin a boost and when it lacks radiance, again a fantastic product I have used week in-week out for over 4 months now. It smells very citrusy which is refreshing when using in the morning.  Although it’s not a massive transformation like I see time and time again with Clear Improvements it does give you a fresh glow every time which you will notice immediately and when applying make-up afterwards.

Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask £23

I only tend to use this face mask twice a month, my skin is a nightmare sometimes and always craves hydration. Yet, my skin is equally acne prone and will break out with the slightest hint of moisture. So I’ve found using this twice a month helps as you leave it on all night, in the morning your skin will feel super smooth and hydrated, great if you have dry skin! You can use this twice a week, so if you do suffer with dry skin I recommend you use it more often than I do. This face mask smells minty which I feel actually helps you unwind and fall asleep faster.

Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb 15ml £15

This is a new one for me, recommended by one of the ladies at the Boots counter when I was stocking up on other goodies. I do currently use a serum as you will see below. I’ve used this for 5 days now and noticed it has brought my spots out a bit. It smells of roses which I personally am a big fan of, and it feels amazing on the skin and dries quickly. It’s designed to be used twice a day, on skin which isn’t quite ready for serious anti-aging. Personally, I haven’t seen a massive difference and probably wouldn’t buy this again as I noticed more of a change with the serum I’m about to show you.

Plantscription Serum £49

So this power serum is certainly a pricey one after trying it in-store and taking a sample pot home I’ve never looked back. I know I’m only 22 and don’t have a wrinkle in sight but equally I have found it holds great benefit’s even for my skin. Again to be used twice daily, and claims to improve stubborn lines and wrinkles in just 2 weeks. From reading reviews online in the past from bloggers who do have wrinkles or fine lines they did notice a big difference which is great to hear. On my own skin I have noticed some creases under and around my eyes are less noticeable and with make-up on top you can hardly see them. I have also noticed my complexion in general has evened out and looks smooth and radiant even without make-up on. To be honest it could be a a mixture between this serum, clear improvements & gin zing as I use them the most but using all 3 together regularly has transformed my dull, acne prone & discoloured skin into something I want to show off. I hated my skin when I was younger as I would always have spots and no amount of make-up would look right or make me feel confident. Confidence is another factor I take away from my Origins journey, because now I can go make-up free and feel good inside. It’s all about finding the right products and sticking to them, so Origins may suit my skin and not others we are all different and I just wanted to share my experiences with you.
