I do love a new product launch especially when it’s a matte lipstick. Seventeen’s new Mega Matte range has just launched and I’m excited to be able to put these to the test for you.
I live by matte lipsticks, there is nothing else nowadays you’d catch on my lips. I feel matte compliments my makeup well, and gives me a more natural look which I love. Recently I have been converted to NYX’s liquid lipstick range so when Seventeen kindly sent me their new range to try I was excited to see how these compared. They are cheaper at £4.49, which I feel is a fantastic price for a lipstick and very budget friendly (woohoo). There are twelve lipsticks in the range as pictured below and I’ve been lucky enough to try Nude News, Looking Buff & Roses Are Red.
I went for these three colours purely because I know what suits my skin tone. Nude News is the palest and is a great summer shade, perfect for any subtle nude look you really can’t go wrong with this. Looking Buff, has a more darker tone and I think this looked best with my Autumn outfits. Roses Are Red is really suitable for all occasions no matter what the weather outside, because what woman doesn’t need a red lipstick! I found the one biggest benefit of these matte lipsticks are that they don’t dry your lips out. So many on the market do irritate my lips and make them swore, so it was great to have an almost hydrating matte lipstick. I did have to re-apply the lipstick after eating as it had come off considerably but in all honesty, this doesn’t bother me as it’s a great price and I’m used to re-applying half way throughout the day anyway.
Overall, I love Seventeen’s Mega Matter range and can’t wait to try the other shades, at £4.49 you really can’t go wrong! You can visit the Boots website here and view the entire Seventeen matte lipstick range, let me know in the comments below your thoughts on these budget must-have’s.
