Summer Beauty Must-Haves

Summer is well and truly upon us and I wanted to show you what beauty products I’ve been loving, and what I will be using throughout the Summer months…

Andrew Barton Moroccan Argan Oil Brushes £7

I’ve had the same paddle brush for god knows how many years, but since picking up some handy blow drying tips from my hairdresser, I wanted to get a new paddle brush and round brush. I chose Andrew Barton as I had heard great things, especially about the Moroccan Argan Oil range. They have been developed to offer a unique hair care solution. By using Moroccan Argan oil and infusing this precious wonder oil into the super soft pins of the brush at the point they are moulded into shape, means that as the material hardens the Oil is locked inside. This makes it a permanent feature of the pin. Now for the clever part…. as the hair glides through the brush bed, moisturising Moroccan Argan Oil is released every time you brush conditioning each strand of hair and adding shine. This miracle oil, known in Morocco as Liquid gold, contains high quantities of Vitamin E and antioxidants which have incredible benefits for your hair and actively promotes the growth of healthier, stronger hair. After brushing I immediately noticed that my hair was more frizz free and super soft, I also find it helps to boost my hair’s shine.

Sure Cotton Dry £3.29

So deodorant may not look fancy but it certainly is a necessity, I’ve started carrying around this Cotton Dry to keep me feeling fresh throughout the day. I won’t lie I sweat a lot and normally find men’s deodorant suits my needs better, the only downside being they never smell feminine or fresh. So I decided to try Sure’s new Cotton Dry and I’m certainly not disappointed, it has a very clean fresh smell and because it’s also motion sense it helps keep me protected throughout the day.

Soft & Gentle 2 in 1 Shower & Shave Mousse 200ml £3.97

I must admit showering with a mousse instead of a gel is certainly a weird concept. I absolutely love using this mousse while shaving, it really makes the process pain free and doesn’t make my skin irritated which I love. It has a really fresh smell, and when water hits it lathers up really well. I still find it weird using it to wash with, but it does actually make my shower routine really easy. I’ve also noticed that my skin always feels moisturised afterwards which is great a bonus as I don’t have to moisturise.

Blistex Lip Balms

My favourite matte lipsticks can be hell in the Summer months, my lips dry out so quickly and it’s just not an attractive look! This is why I always make sure I either apply lip balm underneath or just wear lip balm for the day and go natural. I’ve been loving Blistex at the moment especially the Happy Lips range. They smell incredible and are great for keeping your lips hydrated and looking healthy. I also use the Intensive Moisturiser at night especially after sunbathing to make sure my lips get a heavy hydration so I don’t wake up with chapped lips!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir £11

The smell scared me first because it does smell almost medical! Once I had plucked up the courage to use this mist across my face I could instantly see the benefits. I use this in the morning as a refreshing spray to wake my skin up before applying moisturiser. It leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated and ready for the day’s makeup. I also love applying this because when I’m rushing around in the morning especially on a hot day, my makeup doesn’t tend to set well as I’m warm. Using this Exlir makes sure my skin is cool before application and is a great base to my makeup.

Summer Beauty Must-Haves

Colab Dry Shampoo £1.32

Dry Shampoo is literally my beauty saviour, some days my hair just doesn’t want to play ball. Especially when I’m in a rush I need a quick fix and Colab is the answer. My roots always seem to get greasier in the Summer months so I’ve recently been trying the scent’s (New York – Fruity) and (Paris – Floral). Both are great but I do prefer the fruity one more, they both also add volume which is great for when your hair looks dull and flat. They are also really handy sizes so I can take them out with me and top up in the day if need be!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Individual Lashes and Lipgloss (Afternoon Tea)

I have loved Tanya Burr cosmetics since they first launched back last year. I wanted to share two of my favourite products from the range the individual lashes and my favourite lip gloss – Afternoon Tea. I really like the pink tones of this lipgloss, recently I’ve found myself wearing more lipglosses than lipstick as I feel it gives me more of a Summer glow! Afternoon Tea has a really subtle sparkle to it which will leave you dazzling in the Summer sun. I used to wear false lashes most days but just don’t have the time to fiddle around with them anymore in the morning. So I tried these individual lashes as they are really quick and simple to apply and it meant I could add subtle volume to the specific areas that need it, instead of the whole lash.

Paco Rabanne Olympea Perfume 50ml £45.99

I have been itching to try this perfume for a while, not only is the rose gold packaging and bottle a certain bonus for me. The smell is divine, this is a perfect scent for Summer and a lovely treat. When first sprayed it smells very musky, once it starts to settle more floral tones start to come out and this is why I love the smell so much. It’s a fresh oriental fragrance whose balance of the accords forms a genuine Paco Rabanne signature. The green mandarin, boosted by the floral and aquatic essences of ginger lily and hydroponic jasmine, awakens the senses. The sensual and luminous salty vanilla accord brings carnal and addictive magnetism. The cashmere wood and Ambergris accord magnify the fragrance and form a divine and powerful trail.

Impulse Why Not? 98p

Impulse have recently teamed up with Charli to release Why Not? At first, I really didn’t warm to the scent it’s just not my normal style at all. Once it had settled, the floral tones started to come out and I actually ended up liking the settled smell. It just smells really harsh when you first spray it that’s all. I always pop a body spray in my handbag because now the days are getting warmer so am I and I hate stinking! These are great for keeping yourself feeling and smelling great and for 98p you can’t go wrong.

Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Bikini £14.99

This Hydro Silk razor has been a favourite of mine for a very long time. Not only does the razor leave my legs feeling goddess like, the moisture strips make shaving pain free and it doesn’t irritate your skin like some other razors. The added benefit to this razor is the bikini trimmer, I absolutely love this feature it is so easy to use and really gets to the awkward places so you don’t miss anything! This really is the perfect razor for women and I love how my skin doesn’t feel dry or sore afterwards it’s always well hydrated.
