My First Impressions With Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte Tilbury has been a beauty brand I have wanted to try for years. With over 20 years experience in the beauty industry, Charlotte sure knows what it takes to make outstanding products. Not only does the rose gold packaging entice me in, but I put these legendary products to the test to give you my first impressions and whether they are worth buying.

Legendary Lashes – Instant Hollywood False-Lash Effect Mascara £25

Inspired by starlets and supermodels, born on the red carpet, this revolutionary new lash-enhancing elastic formula extends out the lashes like a piece of elastic and holds them there for the longest, most luscious lashes of your life with 13x more volume in just three coats! I’ve been using this mascara for 3 days now, I was using Benefit’s They’re Real mascara. Instantly, Charlottes mascara blacked out my lashes. I feel that with my old mascara it didn’t really colour my lashes very well, where as Legendary Lashes made my lashes look fully black and stand out. Volume wise, again this mascara took me by surprise by lifting and really making my thin lashes bold, thick and elongated. At £25, it’s not the cheapest mascara but I will be sticking to it as I’m so impressed with the results even after a short amount of time!

Charlotte's Magic Cream Charlotte Tilbury

Charlotte’s Magic Cream – Treat & Transform Moisturiser SPF15 £70

Charlotte’s Magic Cream is a secret mix of patented anti-age ingredients, a hyaluronic acid booster plus floral extracts that lift and transform tired skin in an instant! Think of a wilting flower that’s just been watered – skin is flooded with moisture for a glowing complexion in a flash, no matter how dehydrated or lacklustre your skin may look. I was kindly sent this mini by the Charlotte Tilbury team so £70 is for the 50ml version. This certainly is a luxury budget cream but does it work? The cream smells floral which I think suits the luxury feel, it is a thick moisturiser so be careful if you’re like me and your skin hates thick moisturisers. It was a dream to apply, and it left my skin feeling dewy, soft, smooth and it made my makeup look incredible afterwards. I’ve never seen my skin look so good after make-up application. I don’t feel I would be able to use this moisturiser every day just because it is so hydrating, I feel my skin would benefit most from this as a pick me up every now and again. It  certainly is an incredible moisturiser and with 20 years in the making, Charlotte’s had a lot of time to perfect this. Try and get your hands on a sample if you can, you won’t be disappointed!

K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick Charlotte Tilbury

K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick – Nude Kate £23

Now you probably all know I’m a sucker for a rose gold lipstick, so I couldn’t not get one of these iconic lipsticks. Enriched with a breakthrough, secret ingredient, the Lipstick Tree, an anti-oxidant that naturally protects lips from UV damage and external pollution leaving them cashmere soft and irresistible. Blended with special waxes and clever light-diffusing pigments for pert, full-bodied, ultra-brilliant lips that ensure you leave a lasting impression. I’m such a nude lipstick lover at the moment so it was a really easy choice for me on which colour to pick. I did mistake this for the matte lipsticks, but this being my own error I’m actually not disappointed at all after trying this lipstick out. It’s more of a peachy nude which is actually different to all the other nude’s I own so great for Summer. It feels very hydrating on the lips and does look mostly matte on my lips, it has a great coverage and I only needed to top it up once throughout the day after eating. At £23, this is the most expensive lipstick I’ve brought to date. Compared to more budget brands, I feel the pigment is a lot stronger than cheaper brands and of course the packaging adds to the luxury feel. I don’t think I’ll be rushing out and buying these constantly, but if a nice colour comes up every now and again I certainly wouldn’t hesitate in purchasing again.

Goddess Skin Clay Mask Charlotte Tilbury

Goddess Skin Clay Mask – Lifts, Smoothes, Brightens & Tightens Pores For Baby Skin £45

Working with the world’s leading laboratories, Charlotte took this centuries-old remedy and added the latest anti-age breakthrough ingredients, such as the BioNymph Peptide Complex to create a glow-giving formula your complexion will drink in. Celebrity facialists have been sharing the formula with their clients to use in between treatments leading up to a red carpet appearance. Now everyone can have flawless, glowing Goddess Skin. Application is really easy, apply a thin layer onto your skin, it feels like you are massaging Sudocrem on your face. Weird, but it is a thick cream consistency. It does smells divine, it reminds me of my favourite L’Occitane products so very floral and fresh. Massage it into your skin while applying and leave for ten minutes. Once done, clean off with a warm flannel and your new baby skin is revealed. My skin instantly looked cleaner, brighter and the bags under my eyes had disappeared. My skin looked incredible, spots seemed reduced and even my pores looked less noticeable. Great results for my fist time, and my skin felt even more pampered and dewy after I applied the Magic Cream afterwards. It certainly is a treat this clay mask, so I don’t think I will be using it every week but it certainly is the best face mask I have ever used. Highly recommend!
