A DAY IN LONDON AT THE ÉLAN CAFE

This week I got to have a very rare day off and head on up to London for the day. I always miss London so much as it really is my second home – but after having a manic few months with my schedule it’s become impossible to just go up and enjoy the city skyline.

So after feeling fed up last Monday after lusting over the new Élan cafe in Chelsea, I decided it was time to plan a day off and treat my Mum to a day up in London. Of course, I immediately text my girl Amanda (Ginger Mum) as I haven’t seen her since December and missed her like mad already. So we planned to have a day of pretty food and pretty photos in Chelsea.

We arrived at the Élan cafe around midday – probably the busiest time so make sure to avoid going on the weekends and lunchtimes. We were actually heading to my friend Sabrina’s event first of all in the event space of the cafe. It was amazing to see Sabrina’s new venture into diamonds and try on simply stunning rings of my dreams! Afterwards, we headed back to the main cafe, where we bumped into my manager Charlotte with baby Oakley and the gorgeous Teral. We ended up all having lunch together which is a rarity and complete fate that we were all there at the same time and managed to get a table together.

So the Élan cafe itself is truly out of the world. When I say this cafe was designed for Instagram it really is – every corner of this cafe is so picturesque and elegant. This is why this post has so many photos because they all look amazing. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. The food and drinks also came out relatively quickly seeing as they were completely full. I ended up going for a decaf soy latte and the poached eggs on a muffin. It was all truly delicious and being a fussy eater that is a big statement for me to make. The cakes were also delicious and everything was to a very high standard which you feel as soon as you walk in the door. Pricing wise lunch came to £30 for my Mum and I, which I think is very standard prices for London anyway. So if you’re looking for the next Instagram photo hotspot then you should take a visit to the Élan cafe in the heart of Chelsea.

Next, after feeling full – we headed on to take some photos in Chelsea. This is Amanda and I’s favourite spot to capture blogging and Instagram photos. While taking these a whole school trip walked past which was pretty awkward and at least the owner of this house didn’t walk out onto us like last time! I adore these photos so much so thank you to Amanda for snapping these gorgeous photos which you will be seeing on here and on my Instagram in the next few weeks.

Finally, the last leg of our day trip – we then headed to Selfridges on Oxford Street to do some shopping! I headed to the  Charlotte Tilbury and Jo Malone stands to stock up on my favourites and then it was sadly time to go home. I always find these trips to London go so quickly as it takes nearly three hours on the train anyway. Well at least my Mum, myself and my new Dior baby had a great day out in London.
