Have you heard of Younique? I think we all have whether it’s a friend selling it or online. I have always had my doubts about beauty products being sold this way. I’m even an Avon virgin. So did this Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Kit Impress me?
The packaging is really nice and felt personal. The Kit comes in a case which I think is a nice touch to keep it all safe! Inside the case are two tools, Moodstruck Transplanting Gel & Moodstruck Natural Fibres. I have tried another brand of Natural fibres before and threw it straight in the bin. At first I thought the mascara had dried up after realising it’s mean to be little bits of fibre I applied. My eyes looked hairy put it that way! It was everywhere! So after seeing this was a fibre kit I panicked. So let’s get to the application.
First, of all I applied a fresh face of make-up in my daily routine. I got my Victoria Secret case in London and I LOVE it! So much storage and smaller to transport around with me. I usually use a Bourjous mascara I got with a Beauty Box it’s reliable and gives great results. I usually wear liquid eyeliner in my daily routine but for the purpose of showing you the difference, I did this last. Pictured below are my natural lashes.
So firstly, excuse how awful my hair looks today trying to take a ‘normal’ shot is harder than you think without looking cross-eyed! My lashes are naturally dark which I have always been blessed with also they are naturally long. I have always struggled with finding a mascara that not only lengthens but adds volume. The first step was to use the Moodstruck Transplanting Gel this is exactly like a mascara, but you need to be quick for the next step before it dries! Step two, is to use the Moodstruck Natural Fibres. So this is what I was referring to when I said a fluffly mascara. The only way I can describe it is like dust! But have no fear when applied on It really transforms your lashes! It also adds texture, I was worried that they looked fluffy but after reading step 3 which is to add a final layer of Moodstruck Transplanting Gel they looked fabulous!
I love how dramatic and full they look, they really bring out my eyes! Now for the best bit the price! £23 may seem quite steep and yes, I would be reluctant to pay that. But let’s look at this way, Benefit’s mascara I’ve used for years costs £19 and YSL’s nationally popular mascara is also £23. For a well presented Kit with fantastic results I am more than happy to use my savings I make and splurge a little more. You use such minimal amounts each time I can see this lasting a long time! Anyway, that’s my review I would love to know what you think in the comments below!
