Yankee Candle Christmas Range Review

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, not only for the festive spirit and spending time with loved ones but also for the candles! Yankee Candle never fail to disappoint where Christmas is concerned and I’m so excited to be able to get a little sneak peek into the magic of Yankee Candle’s Holiday Party range.

In the middle of October I found myself in Yankee Candle’s winter wonderland, I was lucky enough to be invited to their press launch and it was a fantastic opportunity to openly smell candles all afternoon and it not be weird, this was my kind of heaven! I got introduced to the four new scents of the season All Is Bright, Festive Cocktail, Macaron Treats and Star Anise & Orange. Once again I feel these are such unique scents for Christmas I’ve never seen macarons associated as a Christmas fragrance so I was excited to give it a try.

All Is Bright I would say is my favourite scent out of the range, because it has a really clean crisp earthy smell which I love and feel is perfect for burning throughout the day to make your home smell heavenly. It’s quite a subtle scent but that’s what makes it for me. Macaron Treats is of course a very sweet smelling candle, I couldn’t burn this for long as it became a little overpowering after a while. It does smell exactly like Macarons so if you have a sweet tooth this is the candle for you! Festive Cocktail is another favourite of mine, it smells very fruity and exactly like a cocktail. I can see this being a great candle for dinner parties with loved ones and an all round great evening candle. Finally, Star Anise & Orange I have to be honest but this is my least favourite out of the Holiday Party range, as with anything I’m sure people will love this candles scent. I am only put off just because it has a very spicy smell which just doesn’t appeal to me. The small candles are £8.99, but if you keep your eye out Tesco & Boots normally have 3 for 2 events on which will include Yankee Candle. I also got this pretty Votive holder which I absolutely love, the pattern matches my theme in my home so perfectly and really gets me in the festive mood. The votive holder is £4.99 which I feel is a great price as it’s reusable and will last for many events to come.
