Glossybox Review – October

I can’t believe October is with us already let alone half way through the month! Today I am sharing Glossybox’s October Pop Art Box. I was really drawn to this box because of the designs and contents that were hinted to me online before ordering. I don’t tend to keep my subscription up with Glossybox only because I find the boxes can be so hit and miss.

So what did I get this month…

Included is 6 items, 2 of these sample sizes. At first glance it did make the box seem very empty, I feel they could of maybe protected the items more with a bit more padding. Immediately, I recognised such items as Ciate nail varnish and Rimmel London BB Cream. The other items I was not familiar with but was excited to explore!

Sample Sizes

Rimmel London BB Cream (Matte) 8ml – £6.99 (Boots)

The Yves Rocher perfume smells amazing! This is such a handy handbag size bottle. In experience Rimmel London has made my skin really dry so I probably wouldn’t use this when I’m used to my Bare Minerals Primer. I love Ciate and love all their divine colours so certainly will be rocking this shade around Halloween. I had never heard of So Susan before it looks a really popular brand. It takes a lot to convert me from my new found love for Bourjouis mascara’s so again this may be one to pass on! After finding myself having a French lesson with both the Yves Rocher perfume, Etre Belle Liplift and the NUXE Fresh Mask I am excited to try this to see what results it can bring. Again, I had never heard of NUXE Paris before. Finally, the Etre Belle Liplift Peel it smells really fresh and inviting. The instructions aren’t too clear but I believe it is like any lip scrub/exfoliator.

One thing that has disappointed me with October’s Glossybox is that it no longer has a booklet in. They used to have a guide to all the products prices and how to use them. This was a nice touch which I greatly miss! I haven’t been subscribed for roughly 6 months so not sure when this stopped.

So, how much did this Glossybox cost? £10 + £2.95 Postage! This really isn’t bad for full size products that are worth £50+. I have had some great boxes from Glossybox, and they do normally fill your box to the brim with goodies. I am still left baffled to how this relates to Pop Art. I can see it with the Ciate nail varnish but that’s about it. Sadly, not a strong enough theme. The box is so pretty though so I will use this again for a present.
